Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night

Creaction Theatre with The Herald Players will be performing Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night with an all-female cast at The Electric Theatre, Guildford, from Wednesday 5 to Saturday 8 December 2018 at 7:30 pm.  Including a matinee on Saturday 8 December at 2:3o pm.

Originally performed by men, with boys playing girls playing boys, the all-female cast supplies a new twist – with girls playing girls playing men falling in love with men played by women. Such confusion is never far from the surface in the text. Viola shrugs it off as ‘too hard a knot to untie’. Alongside the famous love triangle that has to be sorted out with a dash of twins, the comic sub-plot involving Sir Toby Belch’s revenge on the pompous Malvolio provides much of the comedy.   Tickets £16, £13.50 concessions from the box office at The Electric Theatre 01483 501200 or www.electric.theatre
