British Honey Week is taking place from the 23rd to 29th October, with the National Honey Show taking place on October 28th. Here are some tips:
•Leave an area of your garden to grow wild – dandelions and forget-me-nots can look pretty and are a great source of nectar for bees.
•Scattering wildflower seeds can make a big difference; bees like to feed on one type of flower in one area to save energy.
To celebrate, we have an Adopt a Beehive pack and a set of Burt’s Bees beauty products to give away. Adopt a Beehive is a charitable scheme run by the BBKA to help introduce people to the life inside the hive and raise money to help save the honey bee through environment and education projects.
