In the quiet village of Chiddingfold, there is a charming little tea shop. This tea shop is unlike one I have ever been into before, not only is it one of the most laid-back environments I have ever walked into, it is also a complete hub for locals, business meetings, dog walkers and cyclists. This diverse coffee shop caters to so many different people and you can tell that Tracey, the owner, is a very well-respected lady within the village community.
This has been made even more apparent in the past few months as Tracey has decided to spread her wings even further and take on a new challenge.
On June 2nd 2019, Tracey will be hosting the first “Locally Loved Artisan Produce” fair. Being a well-connected member of the village Tracey wanted to help promote the Village hall. As the manager of such a successful tea shop, Tracey meets a lot of people in the café, as well as having worked in the restaurant business for several years, Tracey knows how to host!
Tracey met Pilar, who was working at the local pub and with both of their experiences in hospitality and events they were a match made in heaven. They decided they wanted to put on a local fair, with local produce as well as allowing people to showcase their products as well as encompassing the interactive side of “try and buy”.
The two of them also wanted to keep the fair as ecofriendly as possible, therefore everyone is encouraged to bring their own bags as well as a reusable coffee cup. When looking into the event they wanted to ensure they would be no competition between stalls and therefore they have chosen a complete variety of stall holders as well as products that will be on sale.
This event really is all about supporting local and being able to see the Village Hall in a completely different light to how it has been seen before. It will be a great bringing the community together as well as celebrating local produce and products.
And what’s more…ITS FREE TO ENTER.
Looking forward to seeing you all there!
