Evil Queen Carabosse rules the Kingdom Of Nod! Cursing the Princess to prick her finger on a magical spinning wheel, can anyone come to the rescue?

Make your dream this Christmas to come and see the region’s best and best value show! Featuring another fantastic cast, spectacular production values and great comedy, plus the cream of Leatherhead’s local children’s talent – join us and support your local theatre to see this amazing story unfold!

This pantomime has dazzling first class production values, all your favourite songs, a very funny script with all the special panto traditions, plus breath-taking special effects with a rotating full-size castle!

Panto star Tom Beard (last years ‘Abanazar’) returns to both write the show and to direct another fantastic cast, including the cream of Leatherhead’s very own local children’s talent, on an unforgettable journey over the festive period.

With stunning visuals effects, magic, puppetry and a high flying tale to tell, LP Creatives are back by popular demand at The Leatherhead Theatre with their best show yet – join us this Christmas for officially ‘Leatherhead’s best pantomime ever!’

Producer Lorna Price from LP Creatives said: “Last year we were delighted to again be the highest grossing pantomime in the theatres history – plus the Leatherhead Theatre had more and more sell –out shows, something that had never happened before. This year we have pulled out all the stops and we promise to bring a show to Leatherhead that totally amaze everybody!

“We are so fortunate to have such an amazing theatre with a large stage and plenty of happy audience members watching the show – it allows us to give the performances some truly spectacular effects and create some fantastic memories!

“We have a stunning set that has to be seen to be believed, along with a fabulous dragon who is full of fun and character, the children are going to love him – and a story full of wonder and magic!”

A highly experienced and professional cast come to Leatherhead this year – comedy comes from ‘Sister Slumber’ play by the hilarious Jon Hughes who returns for a second time after a triumphant debut as last years ‘Widow Twankey’ (remember that Tina Turner magic?) ‘Muddles’, played by Oliver Byng brings his unique brand of comedy and energy to the show! Doing her best Jacob-Ress Mogg impression, ‘Sleeping Beauty’ will be played by the angelic Ellie Powell. The very handsome Matt James-Wainwright makes his Leatherhead debut as ‘Prince Harry’ and the nefarious Laura Hyde plays the evil ‘Queen Carabosse’ terrorising the children – and probably some of the adults too – with the right amount of pantomime badness to keep the hecklers happy!

Tom Beard can’t wait to get started on the show this year: “There will be spectacular sets and costumes, fabulous songs and dances – and plenty of slapstick fun” says Tom “This will be LP Creatives fourth year producing the pantomime at the theatre. Everyone is working very hard to make sure that we follow our three previous productions here with even better high quality entertainment and the magic of Christmas that Leatherhead deserves!  Plus of course some very terrible jokes!

“We have both the highest grossing and highest attended pantomime ever here now,” Tom continues “which I hope shows that we are getting people talking and interested in coming to the Leatherhead Theatre for their festive treat! We aren’t just getting local people back to our theatre now, people are travelling from across Surrey and beyond to come and see our top notch production! The fact that we are the best value show around doesn’t hurt. It was great to see the audience return last year – along with other friends and family as well – and this year we hope to see some more new faces too!”

LP Creatives specialise in family theatre and pantomime and following ‘Beauty and the Beast’ in 2016 and ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ in 2017 and ‘Aladdin’ last year are delighted that tickets sales have rocketed since they took over producing the show.

Tom Beard adds “This show will be driven by an extremely fun and unique experience – as well as being a spectacular extravaganza for the senses! It is very important for children to come to the theatre – to see something spectacular in real life during the festive season makes everything seem so much bigger and better! This is why it is so important for us to produce big family shows.  ‘Sleeping Beauty’ is a really great and memorable pantomime, as it has so many elements to make an amazing show. It will be a chance for all generations to spend time together at the theatre this Christmas. Not only does this time help strengthen the family bond; it helps to nurture a love of live theatre in the youngest of audience members.

“We have now firmly established our pantomime here in Leatherhead as the best value pantomime in the area – hopefully this will encourage people to come and see the magic unfold in Leatherhead this year, we promise that everybody will leave with a smile on their face!”
