A sparkling start to October with The Loop!

One of Surrey’s newest charities, The Loop, created to support and promote local care charities in Surrey, was delighted to work with two wonderful long-standing charities Cherry Trees and The Grange at Bookham and home care provider Home Counties Carers.

Co-hosting a 2 day photography exhibition in the atmospheric Glass Barn at the High Clandon Vineyard Estate showcasing in beautiful, inspiring photographs, the amazing work these care organisations carry out in the community, as seen through the eyes of gifted local photographer Haley Woodward.

The event was opened in glorious sunshine on Friday 1 October by the Mayor of Guildford, Councillor Marsha Moseley, with representatives from each of the charities.

Mayor Moseley said “how delighted she was to open an event highlighting such tremendous caring work from local organisations”

Home Counties Carers Director and Registered Manager, and also founders of The Loop, Matthew and Lucinda Kalupka said “they were proud to be supporting The Loop’s first event bringing to the fore the amazing care taking place across Surrey for all age groups. “

Haley Woodward was on hand both days talking to guests about her exhibition and taking photographs. She said “how humbling it was to be allowed into people’s homes and to the care environments to capture precious moments!”

Everyone enjoyed the happy 2 day event in the beautiful surroundings of the High Clandon Vineyard Estate home of Sibylla and Bruce Tindale.

There was the opportunity to mingle and chat with friends and to buy the award winning High Clandon Euphoria Cuvée and canapés. Guests could sit and enjoy cream teas and other refreshments overlooking the stunning Surrey Hills views – almost to London! Those with the shopping urge were treated to stalls selling everything from festive cards, jewellery, sumptuous home ware, local art and scented candles to delicious brownies and chocolates.

Guests shopped until they dropped – with a chilled glass in hand and a smile!

Significant funds were raised for our good causes – a great time had by all in this celebration of care!
