The Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex have been working on an exciting alternative to their talks offered to groups throughout the year. They love to get out into the community and talk to people about how they work, innovate and save lives, but sadly this year has been very different. They are delighted to say that they have been able to continue spreading awareness virtually, joining members of groups in their Zoom and Team meetings. They would greatly appreciate your support to help spread the word.
Along with this they appreciate that Christmas might not be the same this year, with restrictions limiting our chances of parties or drinks with colleagues and friends, so here KSS they have been coming up with some new ideas to spread some festive cheer like our virtual party pack and Christmas event.
At Air Ambulance Kent Surrey Sussex, they strive to save lives by providing the best possible care every minute of the day, every day of the year. Being the UK’s busiest and one of the world’s leading 24/7 Helicopter Emergency Medical Services, at the forefront of utilising technology and innovation to save lives and improve patient outcomes. Last year alone, they were called out to help over 2,500 people in life threatening conditions. During the pandemic, they have not dropped a shift and have continued to serve this region 24/7 to those most in need, along with supporting the NHS at this time.
In mid-April, they launched their Coronavirus Emergency Appeal as an urgent appeal for support. They faced an anticipated shortfall of £2 million pounds, which was a projected loss of fundraising income due to the pandemic. Thanks to their fantastic supporters they have helped reduce that shortfall but are still facing a significant deficit, and your help during this time is needed now more than ever.
