Christmas Carol Service at Cowdray

A Christmas Carol Service takes place outside at Lawns Polo Ground on Christmas Eve to enable the local community to come together to embrace the festive spirit safely after a challenging year.

Everyone is welcome to attend this free event but a small donation on the evening would be much appreciated with all proceeds going to the Midhurst Food Bank and Easeborne Parish Church.

The service is led by Reverend Derek Welsman and includes carols by torchlight as well as singing by the Midhurst Community Choir. Gates open at 4.30pm and the service starts at 5pm – which will last for approximately 45 minutes.

Cowdray CEO Jonathan Russell said: “We are looking forward to hosting a Christmas Carol Service at Lawns in the absence of a number of popular church services. It has been an incredibly difficult and challenging year and we are delighted to be able to bring the community together for a happy and joyous occasion at Christmas time.

“This is also an opportunity to support the Midhurst Food Bank, whose volunteers are working incredibly hard to help those in need especially at Christmas time, as well as raise money for the Easebourne Parish Church.”

The event will take place in accordance with strict Covid-19 guidelines and everyone needs a ticket to attend. To reserve your space, please visit: www.cowdray.co.uk/events
