Guildford’s first closed-road running race – Guildford 10k – will be held by local organisers aat-events on Sunday 13th October. Thousands of runners are expected to participate in this major community event to raise money for Harrison’s Fund charity. The chip-timed races start and finish at Guildford’s cobbled high street.
Participants then run either 10km or 5km behind a lead car (sponsored by Porsche Centre Guildford) before receiving a huge medal at the finish line. Post-race massage is sponsored by Fitstuff Clinic, and prizes by Fitstuff Run Shop.
Runners of all abilities are welcome to take part – free training plans devised by Chapel Street’s Field of Fitness are available to download upon entry. Those who don’t run are encouraged to enjoy the live music and show their support at various cheer points along the route.
