‘Hanging’ Out At GoApe

GoApe, Alice Holt.

Hurray the sun is finally starting to appear! I was going to make the most of it. Having partaken in GoApe last year I knew I was in for a treat.

My housemates had not done it for years, so I made the executive decision that Saturday was the day to have some ‘Big Kid’ Fun! I booked tickets online which was nice and simple, and as soon as I had booked them, I got an email through with some more information, what to wear, where to park and other useful points that allowed us to relax and get excited for the day itself.

We arrived and got ourselves checked in. Katie was going be looking after us while we were there and go through the safety aspects with us. Katie was very enthusiastic and as well as being professional in the safety process she also had a joke with us and ensured that everyone in the group was comfortable with all the processes before we were taken onto the first course.

The first course was the smaller course, where we got a chance to try the different aspects of the course before we were let loose up in the trees. In the first course you get to practice the fastenings as well as having a chance to experience a zip wire.

We were ready to start our tree top experience.

Katie ensured she stayed on the ground underneath us as we first started off to make sure we were confident and comfortable for the first few crossings. Before long we were all in the ‘swing’ of it…sorry I couldn’t resist.

There are 5 different courses and you do one after another, they get higher as you go around, when you are up in the trees there are signs that let you choose if you want to do the moderate crossing or the extreme crossing, allowing the less confident climbers to be able to complete the course alongside the rest of their party.

There is also a smaller Tree Top Adventure course for those not so confident with heights. As there is no minimum age, so long as your little monkey is 1 meter or over, they too can conquer the course!

It really is great fun for the whole family, there are water stops situated around the course to make sure you keep hydrated and refreshed during your adventure.

We did the course in 2 hours and it was the perfect mix of active outdoor fun, mixed with adrenaline pumped enjoyment.

I would 100% recommend GoApe to families and groups of friends alike. I laughed from start to finish and I walked away with a huge smile on my face.

Get yourselves booked in to experience a day that is good value for money, energetic and something a bit different for the whole family!
