Crondall Open Gardens Supports Phyllis Tuckwell

Come and enjoy some of the most beautiful, relaxing and interesting local gardens at this year’s Crondall Open Gardens. This popular outdoor event will take place from 2pm to 6pm on Sunday 27th June, and will raise funds for local charity Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice Care.

Share the enthusiasm of Crondall’s wonderful gardeners and celebrate the easing of lockdown restrictions with an inspiring walk around some of the village’s most beautiful and hidden gardens. 12 gardens will be on show, for you to browse around at your leisure. You might spot a few new ideas to incorporate in your own garden, and you’ll also have the chance to pick up some new plants too, at the ‘Blooming Marvellous’ market stalls set up at the Village Hall, which will include plants from CharityPlants, summer-themed goodies and refreshments. All of the proceeds will go to Phyllis Tuckwell, helping fund the supportive and end of life care which it provides for local patients and families who are living with an advanced or terminal illness, such as cancer.

Tickets cost £7 for adults (accompanying children free) and will be available to purchase in advance from Crondall Village Stores and online at www.pth.org.uk/crondall-open-gardens-blooming-marvellous. You will also be able to buy them on the day from Crondall Village Hall and participating gardens. The event will follow Government Covid guidance at the time, and social distancing will be encouraged.

If coming by car, it is advisable to avoid the central part of the village around the start of the event. There is parking at Crondall Scout Hut at the North end of Pankridge Street, GU10 5RQ. You may prefer to arrive later in the afternoon, when the gardens and refreshment outlets will be less busy. If you have any enquiries, please contact Dr Simon Rawle on 01252 852347, or email simon@rawle.waitrose.com.
