Climate emergency centre in Waverley

Climate emergency centre in Waverley. What Next? is Waverley’s first climate emergency centre, based in Godalming. We all know there is a climate crisis – the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change was unequivocal in its recent report that we are at Code Red for the planet and need to act fast to reverse the damaging impact of climate change. You may also be aware of the United Nations COP26 conference in Glasgow in November, which the Prime Minister described recently as a ‘turning point for humanity’. However, it’s not so easy for any of us to know what best to do. If you have been asking yourself the question ‘what can I do next?’ and haven’t found the answer then come to the climate emergency centre and we’ll help you. We have a range of activities to explore issues and solutions related to the climate emergency, whether you are interested for yourself, for a company you own or work for, for a local community group, or as a representative of the local council. Change is possible! For details, go to our website at https://whatnext.earth/. What Next? is part of the national Climate Emergency Centres network – www.climateemergencycentre.co.uk.
