CREST21 – Surrey’s first ever Sustainable Business Awards are now live.
The CREST21 Sustainable Business Awards are a chance for the many businesses and organisations in Surrey, operating in and around Woking that are working towards a sustainable future to shout about it.
Free to enter the awards have been founded by the Woking News & Mail, in association with the University of Surrey’s Centre for Environment and Sustainability, supported by headline sponsor Surrey County Council.
CREST21 Business Awards are giving our business community an opportunity to highlight the work that’s already happening to protect the environment providing an unmissable platform for businesses to raise their profile.
If we learnt anything through COVID19, it’s how good we are at looking out for each other and how our everyday actions impact on the planet – remember the cleaner air, streets and waterways we saw in Lockdown1.
CREST21 Business Awards has drawn the sponsorship and support of many high profile local businesses led by Surrey County Council and include award category sponsors Chambers Group, Holdsway, Planet Woking and Kier with media sponsor Mayer Brown. The University and the News & Mail are also co-sponsoring a Resilience in Crisis award. introduced in the response to the impact of the pandemic.
There’s a chance to enter five categories: Transforming Food Award, Going Circular Award, Efficiency Champion Award, Sustainability Impact Award and Resilience in Crisis Award.
A further sixth accolade will be given to CREST21 Sustainability Hero, an award given by the judges’ to the business or individual who has shown outstanding performance in all aspects of sustainability.
Each category winner will receive a bespoke sustainability consultation package from the University – but hurry, entries close on Friday 5th March.
