Elstead Shopping Week

Get ahead with your Christmas shopping and help support small local businesses with an online shopping week. The St James School (Elstead) PTA are holding a digital Christmas market to raise funds for the school and to boost the local economy. With the high streets closed this is the perfect place to find something special.

Despite having all it’s fundraising events postponed, the St James PTA are still passionate about supporting the School in ‘Bringing out the Best’ in all our children, and to help their pupils enter the next stage of education with a strong work ethic and the capacity for kindness.

From 19th-26th November small local businesses that sell perfect Christmas presents will be featured on the website www.ElsteadPTA.com. Now is the time to support your local economy and help a village school.

How to take part

  1. Go to www.ElsteadPTA.com shopping evening
  2. Browse the online shops
  3. Quote Elstead2020 on checkout so the stallholder knows you want to support St James
  4. Share the website with your own friends and family, beyond the village
  5. If you feel you have already done your Christmas shopping, but would still like to make a gift. Please head to www.crowdfunder.co.uk/elsteadpta to help make your contribution.

Please do mark the date in your diary and follow local social media for features on individual stallholders (especially our youngest stallholder who left St James just a couple of years ago).

There is great power in the collective and together we can make a difference. We hope the week will benefit both the PTA and local stallholders (many of whom are working mothers running a spare-room industry) and ultimately enrich the lives of the children of St James’s School.

We look forward to seeing you online.
