Other face-to-face courses in Guildford this term:

In October we have INTRODUCTION TO BUDDHISM presented by Karim Esmail. I saw a short version of this recently and am very much looking forward to the full 3-hour version. Karim is one of my favourite tutors and I have always found he presents a most interesting and superbly structured class. This 3 hour class takes place on 15.10.21 at 10.30 -13.30pm. £18. Ref. No. C3747177.

In November we have BRITAIN AND EUROPE – A WORKING RELATIONSHIP? with Dr Simon Usherwood. Simon is a more recent addition to our team of Guildford WEA lecturers and is building up an excellent reputation. This is likely to be a lively class with a chance for you to discuss this important topic. Held on 5.11.21 at 10.00-13.00. £18. Ref. No. C3747339.

For our artists we welcome back Gabby Girardey, whom many of you may know. DRAWING LANDSCAPES AND TOWNSCAPES IN PEN AND INK 10.11.21 at 11.00-15.00. £24. Ref. No. C3747206.

To finish the autumn term, in December Alfred Bradley and Sue Morris will give a talk with readings on FANNY BURNEY. Fanny (Frances) Burney lived at Great Bookham and quite possibly knew Guildford. Her best selling novels were much admired by Jane Austen. Alfred and Sue are sure to delight you by a lively talk with Alfred demonstrating his superb acting ability.
