Carly Telford, England & Chelsea Women Goalkeeper Trains with Milford Pumas

On Saturday 17th November the Milford Pumas girls teams had a surprise visit from England and Chelsea Women’s whilst training at Rodborough School.

Milford Pumas has a growing girls section of the club and now up to over 80 players from U7-U14.

Carly was really excited to see the number of girls playing for the club and the Milford Pumas girls jumped at the chance to train and play with Carly Telford and even take penalties against England’s Number 1.

Carly, who has a big season ahead playing in the FA Women’s Super League for Chelsea and for the England Lionesses who have qualified for the Women’s FIFA World Cup in France next Summer, talked to the club about what it’s like to be a professional football player and what a great opportunity girls now have to play and develop at grassroots level, something she didn’t have growing up.
