Get Ski Holiday Ready at New Peak Performance Guildford Workshops

GUILDFORD BUISINESSES TEAM UP FOR EVENING EVENTS ON 23 & 30 JANUARY 2020

January 2020. The UK’s only Peak Performance store – the independently owned Peak Performance Guildford – is launching instore evening events to help skiers prepare for their upcoming ski holiday. On 23 and 30 January 2020, a team of independent Guildford businesses and experts in ski coaching, body mechanics and personal training, will come together for a series of talks and demonstrations in the Guildford store. The workshops – costing just £10pp – will focus on equipping you with body and health techniques, hints and tips, to get the most out of your ski trip.

With February half term fast approaching, the most popular time for getting away for a ski break, the evening workshops will take attendees through the importance of understanding their body and teaching them the best ways to save energy, allowing them to ski all day long.

Hosted in the Peak Performance Guildford store, the two hour workshops will see contributions from a series of ski experts from Surrey businesses including; David Walton – Founder of Peak Performance Guildford, a ski school director and examiner for the British Association of Snow Instructors who is qualified to train the next generation of ski instructors. Together with Biomechanical Physiotherapist and co-owner of the Guildford Physio clinic; The Body Mechanics; David Elmsley and Surrey Hills based Personal Trainer and Gym Instructor, Jean-Pierre, owner of Fitness by JP.

Skincare brand Kiehl’s of Guildford will also be on hand with product demonstrations to ensure you’re fully equipped to protect your skin on the slopes and Surrey Hills Coffee will be offering up a ‘taste of the mountains’ with a coffee tasting experience and refreshments.

Whilst instore, skiers will have the chance to try the Swedish fashion labels latest collection of women’s and men’s ski-wear and enjoy an exclusive instore discount. With a range of GoreTex ski jackets and pants, breathable merino wool thermals and mid-layers, there’s something for everyone.

The workshops will run from 6pm-8pm and are available to book instore or online now for just £10pp at www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/peak-performance.

Peak Performance Guildford provides a unique opportunity for UK fans of the brand to visit a dedicated Peak Performance store with all ranges under one roof. The pop-up, in the heart of Surrey, showcases and sells the Swedish label’s latest autumn winter sports fashion and urban wear ranges for men, women and kids including their latest ski apparel.

Based in the heart of Guildford (6 Market Street), Peak Performance’s only UK pop-up store, which is independently owned, launched in October 2019 and will be open until 1 April 2020. Visitors to the 110 sqm store, set over two floors, can find clothing suitable for every eventuality – from slopes to streets, bike to bar, work to workout.

Peak Performance was founded in 1986, by three friends who also happened to be avid ski enthusiasts. Together they identified a gap in the market for ski-wear that was a departure from the superficial and extravagant designs synonymous with the 80s. Their ethos then was to create a label that fused both design and technology – a vision which is still at the heart of the label today. Fast forward ten years – Peak Performance embraced “The Great Outdoors” and expanded its clothing range from skiwear to urban, outdoor, training and sportswear.
