DESCRIPTION – CREATIVE SCREENPRINTING
Are you looking to explore your creativity? Want to learn a fun and easy way to create colourful artwork. Ever wondered whether you can screenprint artwork that looks modern, elegant and colourful? Become a printing expert artist and create your very own original artwork at this fun workshop.
This hands-on class is ideal for those looking to explore their creativity and learn more than just basic screenprinting. This class is not just another intro-to-screenprinting class. Instead, in this this workshop, the boundaries of what screenprinting is and how it can be used to create stunning original art will be stretched. In this “Creative Screenprinting” workshop, you will learn five main techniques that go beyond basic screenprinting, including monoprinting, linocuts, stamping, reverse printing and creating texture in your prints through a technique used by Andy Warhol. The workshop will give you the knowledge and practical expertise to create your very own original screenprint artwork. Note that some knowledge of screenprinting is helpful but not necessary for this workshop. Beginners are welcome and will learn the basics of screenprinting as well.
All materials will be provided and you will go home with your very own fantastic original printed artwork ready to display.
The class is limited to 6 participants to ensure plenty of chances to ask questions and learn directly from Vera. Complementary refreshments will be provided.

About the instructor:
Vera Blagev is a nature inspired abstract artist currently based in Dorking, Surrey, England. Having travelled to over 50 countries and lived in Bulgaria, USA and London, Vera is inspired by the natural world. Her artwork celebrates nature through exploring the textures, patterns and colours of the natural world.
After years of being asked to run workshops, Vera has now launched a series of workshops on abstract art, mixed media art, and creative screenprinting. Vera’s series of workshops are aimed at enabling people to explore their creativity and providing a fun way to learn about abstract art.
